Cirro takes its name from the high, delicate clouds that drift above Aotearoa — the land the Māori call Aotearoa, “the land of the long white cloud.” These cirro formations hang over the Marlborough Sounds and the winding rivers of the Wairau Valley, shaping the cool, pure environment that defines our wines.

From these clouds comes the water that feeds our soils and sustains our vineyards. Every drop begins its journey in the sky before filtering through the landscapes that make Marlborough one of the world’s most distinctive cool climate regions.

At Cirro Wines, we craft wines that reflect this sense of elevation: fresh, vibrant, and naturally expressive. We work with the energy of the valley — its light, its winds, its clarity — to create wines that rise from the land yet carry the brightness of the sky.

“Cirro Wines” are shaped by the long white cloud.
